Flood.gharysh.kz: Geographic information service for modeling flood events

Objective of the project:
flood.gharysh.kz is an advanced geographic information service designed for forecasting and modeling flood situations. The project is designed to perform predictive calculations of water volumes in lakes and reservoirs, which makes it possible to prepare in advance for floods and prevent their consequences.
System capabilities and functions:
Forecasting and Modeling: The system performs calculations based on a large amount of data, including meteorological data, terrain, gauging data and historical data for more than 20 years. This allows you to accurately predict the volume of water that will flow on the selected date.
Emergency prevention: Thanks to accurate forecasts, the system allows you to take measures in advance to prevent the consequences of floods, including evacuating the population and preparing infrastructure.
User roles:
Administrator: Creates and manages new objects for forecasting.
Moderator: Enters data for calculations.
User: Performs calculations and analysis.
Technologies and methods:
Modern GIS technologies: The project uses advanced technologies in the field of GIS, such as ArcGIS and other opensource solutions, including Hecras, Geoserver, Gdal and others.
Scientific base: The project was developed in collaboration with leading professors of Kazakh universities in the field of hydrology and mathematics, which guarantees high accuracy and reliability of forecasts.
